A Different World is Possible

This piece is in a gorgeously detailed frame with a carved floral detailing. A typical vase of flowers grows from a detailed brown vase, with orange tulip petals pointing upwards. We've seen vases of flowers for hundreds of years -- but these are different. The vase detailing is modern and imaginative, and the flowers themselves are striped and spiky, ready to charge for change. The blue background is hopeful and powerful. 

The flowers of this piece symbolize a belief in imagination, creation, and abolition from the harmful methods of our current world. The more I learn about matriarchy and science fiction, the more I believe in possible changes to our society and ways of being that we can't even picture yet. I like to remind myself to try to see things differently, to imagine different ways than I've been taught to accept, and to keep being willing to change.
